I have a soft spot for regional ghost stories, and this one I enjoyed a lot!
I liked it enough I sent a message to the author. I especially appreciated how the stories shared cover modern stories of the experiences as well as a little of the background of more well-researched hauntings. It can be super tempting to tie up stories in these collections all neatly with pat answers, or tell only the story of the ghost. But a good ghost story collection should recognize all the layers in the stories or, at least for me, it feels incomplete.
