Gods and Myths of Northern Europe by H.R. Ellis Davidson

I read this book in conjunction with two other books, as part of a period where I wanted to learn about my Danish ancestry and cultural ties.

I admit, much of this wasn't new information, though subsequent books tend to pick and choose which tales will appeal to audiences. Lore tends to work that way, so older collections and a variety of collections tend to give a more full picture of the mythology that has survived long enough to make it to this point.

With these collections, I think the value lies in an overview and the themes throughout
