Murder, golf, and lore

I'd just started Haunted Golf: Spirited Tales From The Rough. I read the first story - Victoria Golf Club: Murder on the 7th Fairway. It’s a sad story about what was declared a murder-suicide. It was in the book since the discovery of the first victim’s body was very near the seventh hole of the course at the Victoria Golf Club.

I read a bit that morning and decided to go get some lunch. I get in my car and I cue up the next podcast on my list, Lore - the new one that had rolled out that day. Within the first few minutes, it's clear this episode is also talking about haunted Canada. Not too far in, I hear the same story. Same murder case and the lady ghost on the fairway!

How could that work? I've had that book on my shelf for weeks now since I bought it. And I happen to pick it up on the day that episode is released?

Curious. I like it.
